In a country so beautiful and surrounded by immense exuberance, as are its volcanoes, the incredible mountains and without neglecting the most spectacular beaches, we are trying to capture, in an easy way for you, the main destinations of Costa Rica .

Each place has its own charm and the choice of each traveler or explorer, will enjoy the wonders that each of these beautiful natural sites enclose, within their scenarios.

There are many more places full of wonders and incredible sites to visit and discover, such as Playa Conchal, Puerto Viejo de Limón, Jacó Beach (near Manuel Antonio), San José (passing through the Poás Volcano) and much more. Our idea is to try to condense the most charming places but this does not mean that there are no more places full of charms to visit.

Arenal Volcano Costa Rica

ARENAL- LA FORTUNA #1 (Lovely volcano, Amazing lake, Beautiful waterfalls and Nice people)

Arenal and its incredible volcano, it’s beautiful lake and the impressive waterfall, as well as all the immense variety of flora and fauna, that encloses only one place, is what makes this place the # 1 to be visited and that can not missing within your itinerary.

Arenal-La Fortuna, is a destination full of adventure, excitement and adrenaline, where you can find many activities to do. It highlights the relaxing thermal waters, its fascinating canopy, ATV tour in the mountains near the volcano, rafting and cultural activities, such as the coffee tour.

The hotels are really lovely. They vary from 2 stars, up to 5 and most of them offer their own hot springs. It is worth mentioning that outside of them, you can enjoy beautiful thermal water sites too, such as Ecotermales and The Springs … our favorites to recommend.

Monteverde Costa Rica

MONTEVERDE (Incredible cloud forest & Relaxing time)

Monteverde is considered an important ecotourism destination in Costa Rica. The area is perhaps best known for the Monteverde Biological Reserve and many other private reserves, which attract a considerable number of tourists and naturalists interested in the mountain and tropical biodiversity.

In 100 of Newsweek places to remember before they disappear, Monteverde appears as # 14 of America. It has also been considered one of the Seven Wonders of Costa Rica by popular vote, and has been called by National Geographic “the jewel in the crown of cloud forest reserves.”

It is a very particular place and is distinguished by its excellent cold climate.

It is a cloud forest definitely beautiful and full of wonders in each place.

It has very attractive tourist activities, such as the visit to the Cloud Forest Reserve, Canopy in the middle of immense and fresh trees, without forgetting the view surrounded by “always green” that you will enjoy at all times.

Papagayo Costa Rica

GUANACASTE (The most beautiful Beaches, Volcanoes & National Parks)

Guanacaste is a province of northwest Costa Rica that borders the Pacific and is known for its beaches and parks of great biodiversity. In the Santa Rosa National Park there is a tropical dry forest, places to surf and about 250 species of birds. Some of the endless beaches of Guanacaste are Playa Blanca, with its calm waters, and Playa Hermosa, popular for diving and water sports. The Papagayo Peninsula houses luxury resorts and golf courses.

You can also enjoy destinations such as Sámara Beach, Coco Beach, Conchal Beach, Flamingo Beach, Rincón de la Vieja Volcano and Tenorio Volcano.

Its immense and abundant flora and fauna, make this province, one of the most beautiful in the country.

Tamarindo beach Costa Rica

TAMARINDO (Night life and surf lessons)

Tamarindo, an old fishing village, is currently one of the most developed tourist communities in Costa Rica. Its geographical and climatic conditions make it an ideal area for surfing and other water sports. Here you can also find most of the Las Baulas National Marine Park, the Tamarindo Wildlife Refuge and the Grande, Langosta and Ventanas beaches, which together constitute the most important nesting area in the American Pacific for leatherback turtles, the most world’s largest, in critical danger of extinction.

It is a unique place with its various activities and has a nightlife full of adrenaline.

Conchal beach Costa Rica

Flamingo- Playa Conchal-Costa Rica (Incredible reef, intensely blue waters and very white sands-Sport Fishing)

Playa Conchal is a fabulous beach with a perfect climate almost all year round, bathed in sunshine almost all the time and with more than 12 hours of daylight from December to April. The water always remains at a comfortable temperature and is ideal for swimming or snorkeling. With one of the clearest waters of the Costa Dorada, it provokes to let loose the snorkel and to swim for those who know how to do it. With a fantastic collection of marine life exhibited, you can swim with many tropical fish that dwell here or you can glimpse the stingrays that swim in this area.

Playa Flamingo Costa Rica, is located on the Pacific coast, north of the famous Tamarindo beach. Also, considered one of the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica! In fact, it has a sophisticated class air about it, as the bright white sand beach is the perfect image. This beach is very good for swimming, sport fishing, diving and snorkeling (scuba diving). Flamingo has a lovely little marina, one of the few in Costa Rica. The rental boats are ideal for short trips or sport fishing.

Manuel Antonio beach Costa Rica

Manuel Antonio , is for us, the second most beautiful place that our sweet Costa Rica offers. You can enjoy exhuberant beaches, enjoy the beautiful Manuel Antonio National Park; in which you will have the opportunity to observe funny monkeys and an abundant amount of birds.Their hotels have their own style and the food is usually of very good quality.

In addition, you can find activities to do, such as horse tours on the beach, rapelling and much more.

Puerto Viejo beach Costa Rica

Puerto Viejo de Limón-Talamanca Costa Rica (Afro-Caribbean culture, exotic beaches and  charming people)

Puerto Viejo is surrounded by beautiful beaches where you can surf and relax with the swing of a hammock, although the main attraction is to explore the natural environment that surrounds this fishing village such as the Cahuita National Park.

This port is located on the east coast of the country. It is easily accessible, which is what made it such an important and prominent port for Costa Rica.
